The IWCF Level 1 well control awareness course aims to increase candidates understanding of how well control incidents can occur, their consequences and prevention methods.
Level 1 is the industry’s first free, online course which is perfect for anyone new or experienced in the industry, especially students and graduates, personnel involved in well control and those who are simply interested in well control.

In addition to our free Level 1 course, we recently introduced a free, online Well Operations Crew Resource Management (WOCRM) awareness course focusing on non-technical skills.
There are 6 modules which candidates can complete with a knowledge check after each module. Once candidates have successfully completed all 6 modules, they will sit a final assessment. If a pass mark of 70% or more is achieved, they will receive an instant certificate.

The objective of this resource is to help students make accurate calculations during the well control training and assessment. It is extremely easy to make calculator errors that can result in well control incidents.
