China University of Petroleum is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education. It is also one of the key universities in the national “211 Project” and the construction of the “985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform” and a graduate school. In 2017, the school entered the ranks of national “double first-class” construction universities.
China University of Petroleum (East China) is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the five major energy enterprise groups, the Ministry of Education and the Shandong Provincial People’s Government. It is an important base for the cultivation of high-level talents in petroleum and petrochemical industries, and is known as the “cradle of petroleum technology and management talents”.
It has now become a university with a focus on engineering, distinctive characteristics of petroleum and petrochemicals, and coordinated development of multiple disciplines.
