Become an IWCF Accredited Training Centre

The first step to becoming an IWCF accredited training centre is to apply for IWCF membership. You can find out more about IWCF membership here.

Membership approval

Once your membership has been approved you can download the accreditation documentation from the IWCF Portal.

Supporting documentation

Completed application and supporting documentation should be submitted to accreditation@iwcf.org.

Upon receipt of a complete application, the accreditation team aim to review within 20 working days. If additional information is required, processing time may be extended.

Successful approval

If an application is successful, the centre will be granted provisional approval which allows the centre to run IWCF accredited courses. All new centres will be audited before receiving full accreditation. You can find out more about training centre audits here.

Once accreditation is achieved, centres may apply for associate centre accreditation. To view fees for accreditation, please click here.

Centre Audits

As part of our commitment to high standards of well control training, IWCF audits accredited training centres. The audit process aims to ensure that centres, instructors and practical assessors follow accreditation requirements and deliver training to IWCF standards.

Audit Process

As part of the accreditation process, all new training centres must undergo an initial audit to achieve full accreditation.

During the accreditation period, centres undergo regular surveillance audits, typically every two years, to ensure compliance with the IWCF Accreditation Agreement and IWCF Operations Policies and Procedures.
