Role overview:

As a technical consultant, you will play a crucial role in providing specialised consultancy services within your area of expertise. You will work collaboratively with a team of technical specialists to support the IWCF administration in the delivery of technical aspects of IWCF’s operational and strategic goals.

Key responsibilities:

  • Content development: Author new and edit existing questions for inclusion in our question banks, ensuring they meet our question writing and style guidelines.
  • Candidate feedback review: Analyse and review technical feedback from our candidates to enhance our question banks and syllabi.
  • Technical responses: Prepare and provide insightful technical responses as needed.
  • Syllabus development: Contribute to the development and maintenance of syllabi, including the creation of new course offerings.
  • Training programme assessment: Conduct technical reviews of training provider course materials.
  • Continuous improvement: Actively support the ongoing enhancement of technical documentation and participate in technical projects.
  • Support IWCF initiatives: Provide general technical advice and advocacy of IWCF, contributing to our mission of setting the highest possible standards in well control training, accreditation and certification.
  • Collaboration: Participate in virtual weekly meetings with other members of our technical teams to collaborate and innovate.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for individuals with strong technical backgrounds in well control who are committed to continuous improvement. Applicants must have more than 15 years of operational industry experience in either drilling or well control and have at least a BSc or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject. If you are proactive, detail-oriented and have a passion for developing high-quality technical content, we would love to hear from you!
