The International Well Control Forum (IWCF) recently showcased its commitment to its core values of Care, Integrity, Courage, and Innovation during a successful team day in Montrose. The event combined personal development, collaboration, and giving back, demonstrating IWCF’s dedication to supporting its people, its community, and the wider environment.
The day began with an engaging Insights Discovery session led by Jan Roberts of Brightside Inspiration. Using a colour-based personality model, the team explored their individual working styles and learned how to collaborate more effectively. With a strong mix of Sunshine Yellow, Earth Green, Fiery Red, and Cool Blue energies across the team, the session inspired meaningful conversations about communication, teamwork, and innovative approaches to problem-solving.

In the afternoon, the team turned their focus to the local environment at Montrose Basin, meeting with Scottish Wildlife Trust ranger Richard Aviss. The team participated in a community litter pick to help protect local wildlife and preserve the area’s natural beauty. IWCF also donated litter pickers to support ongoing conservation efforts.
The litter pick was especially meaningful as it helped prepare Montrose Basin for the arrival of nesting geese in the autumn months. Keeping the area clean ensures a safe and healthy environment for the birds to nest and raise their young, supporting local wildlife conservation efforts.
The activity required teamwork and a bit of Courage, as the team tackled a truckload of rubbish, making a visible, positive impact on the local environment.

Well done to everyone involved for giving back, embracing the challenge, and demonstrating IWCF’s values in action!
