About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Board Secretary to support the efficient operation of the IWCF Board of Trustees/Directors. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global organisation with a supportive and collaborative work culture.

As Board Secretary, you will play a key role in ensuring effective governance and administrative support. You will:

  • Plan and manage board and committee meetings, including the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
  • Prepare board papers and provide administrative support for all board activities.
  • Support member branches with meeting coordination and administrative tasks.
  • Report to the Chair of the Board and oversee board governance processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Board Support: Plan and coordinate board and committee meetings, compile agendas, prepare board papers, and take accurate minutes.
  • Governance: Ensure compliance with governance regulations, including company reporting and OSCR requirements.
  • Branch Administration: Assist regional branches with secretarial support and maintain meeting calendars.
  • Travel and Meetings: Attend international board meetings (virtual and in-person), with flexibility for weekend travel.


Candidate Requirements:

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent coordination and organisational abilities, with the ability to prioritise and manage your workload.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, virtual meeting platforms, and board management software.
  • Familiarity with board governance processes and regulations; experience with OSCR reporting is a bonus.
  • Membership of ICSA or equivalent, or relevant Chartered Governance qualifications, is an advantage.
