| The International Well Control Forum is an oil industry Membership Organisation established in 1992. Its primary purpose is to develop and deliver well control certification programmes for personnel employed in oil well Drilling, Workover, and Well Intervention operations. The Forum is organised through a network of National and Regional Branches who elect an international Board of Directors to manage the organisation's policy and practices.
Following the retirement of the Secretary-General in February 2009, the
Board has appointed a Chief Executive Officer to manage the day to day
affairs of the Forum and the delivery of the programme to over 20,000
